In the begining God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was empty a formless mass cloaked in darkness, and the spirit of God was hovering over the surface...

THEN GOD SAID !!

In you i have breathed life,

I have created you in my image, i have created in you, the ability to create

GO CREATE !

What is in your heart ? DO IT

What dreams do you have ? DO THEM

BE BOLD, BE BRAVE, BE COURAGEOUS, BE CREATIVE, BECOME ALIVE

IMAGINE

It all starts in the imagination

Think deep, what do you see ? DREAM BIG, Be a dreamer of dreams

You will be all i created you to be

DANCE FOR ME

EXTEND YOUR WINGS,

STRETCH THEM TO THE LEFT,

THEN TO THE RIGHT,

ITS TIME TO TAKE FLIGHT,

FLY, FLY ON EAGLES WINGS

EXPAND INTO THE NEW

FOR YOU I HAVE MANY THINGS,

THERE IS A NEW PLATFORM TO DANCE IN AND UPON,

NEW CHOREOGRAPHIES, NEW DANCES, NEW DANCES, NEW PLATFORMS,

GO, GO ALL THE WAY

An prophetic alpine rhyme for the divine 2009

In the age-old prophetic tradition of developing a rhyming tagline for
the year we have just embarked upon I felt impressed by the Lord to
declare this proclamation into the heavenlies:

2009,
the year of divine
dining on limes
where we won't be confined to just one prophetic rhyme
cos its time to outshine the porcupine
and spark up the turbine
and smoke a few woodbines (or maybe not, not in public anyways 'cos
passive smoking is a not benign),
its the year of the grapevine, hairline, clothesline, and vulpine
waistlines
the envy of einstein
where we mime divine guidelines with high necklines
and confine canines to the moonshine.

May 2009 be an alpine experience where we streamline the outline and
get on the mainline
and consign bovine tasting snacktimes to the sideline
and shine, shine, shine.

A fire burning,
a place of learning,
A Scriptorium where we eat the Word,
where prayer is always heard.
A stairway to the stars -
a refinery for heaven's oil
to overflow and fill these earthly jars.

trying to be heard

looking for a glance, a touch,

hoping for a word -

The laughing stock passes me by

as I reach out with a sigh -

King David's Pad - The House of Dad

There is a new breed

a spiritual seed

Rising to take the land

Standing on the banks of Jordan

Faith in heart and Word in hand

Joel is there and Moses too

Kicking off their shoes

Elijah and the prophets all

even Balaam's mule

Here we are assembled

a house of praise and prayer -

In our midst a fiery pillar

Our God whose name if There!

This is David's place

a house of Grace

where prayer saints lift their hands

where Jacob seeks God's face

and worship warriors

make their stand.

Blood stains on the lintels

the veil lies on the floor

a new and living way is opened

sin and death will reign no more

Music, colour, movement, rhyme

this house is free, released of time

...so David plays a soft note as we all begin to sing-

The Bridegroom looks with fiery eyes

and on our finger bestows a ring

Betrothed we bow

and sense His flavour

Eternity is the air we savour...

Heavens Customs

I bowled up to the officers at customs. "You'll have to surrender your self reliance", they informed me, "and any hope of earning or deserving any entrance." Placing my motheaten garment on the scanning machine I walked through to the other side, waiting for its appearance as it rolled along the conveyor. Out it came, but...
"This is not my coat", I protested. My coat was soiled, ragged and torn." What I now held in my hands was a perfectly white robe.
"You could never fit in that", my internal judgements still rang, yet when I slipped my arms through, never had a garment fitted so comfortably. "It was made for me!" I thought, "or...was I made for it?"

"Step this way sir" said a somewhat glorious guardian, "10,000 times 10,000 remain to claim their inheritance."
"Enjoy your stay" said another, and with that I took my first steps into what can only be described as...home. Finally, I was home.

cooking pasta and ham

I grew old
and now I know
All these things are only what I do
They don't make what's me or you

The only thing I really want
is learning Just to be!
