Ex-addict from Battersea helps children and young people avoid drug and alcohol-related harm
Camilla Hunter-Blair, a resident of Battersea, is a voluntary Drug Educator for Hope UK, a Christian charity for children and young people.
She is an ex-drug user who was hooked on class A drugs cocaine and crack for many years. Camilla’s addiction destroyed her life, and she was devastated when her son was taken away from her. In desperation, she booked herself into a rehabilitation centre and successfully completed the programme. This, and her new-found Christian faith, has enabled her to be drug-free for the past ten years.
Camilla says: “I have a heart and a passion to see young people avoid going down the path I went down and this is the reason I joined Hope UK, a fantastic charity that enables young people to make drug free choices. The training they gave me was excellent and I am now a Drug Educator who wants to make a difference in the lives of young people.”
Camilla is looking for opportunities to provide drug and alcohol awareness sessions not only to children and young people, but also to parents and youth workers – in fact, anyone with an interest in the health and well-being of children. If you are interested in hosting a session, please contact Hope UK at 020 7928 0848 or e-mail: d.devine@hopeuk.org

Just saying Hi from Toronto. I'm a digital & mass copywriter...just thought I'd search "creatives for Christ", came up with a poem on the site http://www.artisaninitiatives.org/Mobile/forums/Messages.aspx?ThreadID =205199 which then had a link to you. Seems like a good idea, your site, is it very active? Any others from ad agencies out there? As for me, my parents were from the Wirral/Cheshire, and I've visited UK many times...even my honeymoon choice was London! In January, how crazy was that, but it did prove my wife really loves me :)
Love Brit history, villages, castles cathedrals, architecture...King's College Choir singing carols, love that...and Libera. 'K, anyone can write to me - bch999@yahoo.com

Each individual human being possesses a unique, highly
developed, and sensitive perception of variety. Thus
aware, man is endowed with a natural capability for enact-
ing internal mental and external physical selectivity.
Quantitative and qualitative choice-making thus lends
itself as the superior basis of an active intelligence.
Human is earth's Choicemaker. His title describes
his definitive and typifying characteristic. Recall
that his other features are but vehicles of experi-
ence intent on the development of perceptive
awareness and the following acts of decision and
choice. Note that the products of man cannot define
him for they are the fruit of the discerning choice-
making process and include the cognition of self,
the utility of experience, the development of value-
measuring systems and language, and the accultur-
ation of civilization.
The arts and the sciences of man, as with his habits,
customs, and traditions, are the creative harvest of
his perceptive and selective powers. Creativity, the
creative process, is a choice-making process. His
articles, constructs, and commodities, however
marvelous to behold, deserve neither awe nor idol-
atry, for man, not his contrivance, is earth's own
highest expression of the creative process.
Human is earth's Choicemaker. The sublime and
significant act of choosing is, itself, the Archimedean
fulcrum upon which man levers and redirects the
forces of cause and effect to an elected level of qual-
ity and diversity. Further, it orients him toward a
natural environmental opportunity, freedom, and
bestows earth's title, The Choicemaker, on his
singular and plural brow. Joel 3:14 Psalm 25:12 kjv

2009 is the year that the fruit of our lives becomes manifested. Spiritually speaking, the number 9 represents the nine fruits of the Spirit. Before a baby is born, a seed is planted, and then it takes shape and silently forms within limited boundaries. In the fullness of time, that baby breaks forth outside its limits and suddenly appears. In that moment of breakthrough, we see its "face" for the first time. That is a good analogy for 2009 in regards to making known the manifestation of the seeds that were planted and nurtured in our lives.
